What is a REALTOR®?
Not every real estate agent is a REALTOR®. To become a REALTOR®, an agent must be a real estate professional, actively engaged in the real estate profession and committed to a strict Code of Ethics through membership in a member board. A REALTOR® belongs to the National Association of REALTORS®, which has more than 1,800 member boards nationwide. The word REALTOR® is a registered trademark of the National Association of REALTORS® which denotes membership, not industry.
